IT application management Officer / Business Analyst (m/f)


  • Job Share: Full-time (38,5 hrs. p.w.)
  • Position is based in the FLO-CERT GmbH Office in Bonn, Germany
  • The salary and benefit package depends upon qualifications and experience
  • Start date: 1. February 2018 (or as soon as possible)




FLOCERT is looking for a process affine and service oriented personality to take up responsibility for the maintenance and continuous improvement of FLOCERT’s software applications. This is the opportunity to become an expert on the company’s core systems. One the one side handling incidents and requests escalated by the 1st level support – one the other side proofing your ability to translate business needs into standard system functionality. Analytical thinking, ability to abstract, good organizational and communication skills are essential assets on this position. You will be part of a multicultural team which is responsible for the management of FLOCERT’s software applications.

  • IT application administration / maintenance / services management
  • 2nd level support for FLOCERT’s software applications (incl. escalation to 3rd level / supplier)
  • Manage relationships, internally (FLOCERT and stakeholders) and externally (customers and suppliers)
  • Substitute 1st level / front end support in case of urgency
  • Manage software improvement projects
  • Act as business analyst within internal improvement projects and translate business needs into functional requirement specifications
  • Coordinate, manage and execute testing activities
  • Manage software update / improvement releases
  • Ensure adherence to best practice change management principles
  • Assume maintenance / actuality of IT application related documentation
  • Contribute to the all over ambition for data integration, data exploration, data quality and service / process improvement.


“Must haves”


  • Any professional office, business, commercial, IT related education (e.g. office-, trade-, merchant apprenticeship IHK) or equivalent (university) education (e.g. B.A.) in a relevant subject
  • Fluency in English written and spoken
  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in a relevant area
  • Experience as a business analyst and / or in the creation of requirements / functional specifications
  • Project work experience
  • Customer orientation and service mentality
  • Analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong process affinity and problem solving attitude
  • Confident, decisive and ownership taking personality
  • Efficient but precise work style and good self-organization
  • Pro-active communication style

“Nice to have”


  • Experience in dealing with different cultures
  • Knowledge of any of the following software applications: Ecert, SAPB1, Salesforce, MSSharepoint, Mantis, Helpline (or other ticket system), QlikView, WorldApp, MS Office 365
  • Understanding of financial / accounting processes
  • ITIL foundation / practitioner certificate
  • PRINCE2 training certificate
  • Any experience in moderation of workshops or conducting user trainings
  • Good knowledge of any additional language, especially French, Spanish, German, Portuguese
  • Motivation for Fairtrade
